Account and Data Deletion

Option 1: in the app (immediate)

On the website

  1. Sign in to Helper Guard AI on the website.
  2. Open the account menu (your picture at the top of the page) → Settings, and scroll to Delete account.
  3. Confirm with your password, your two-factor code if 2FA is on, or by signing in again with Google or Facebook if your account has no password.

On Android

  1. Open the Helper Guard AI app and sign in.
  2. Tap the Profile tab → Delete account.
  3. Enter your password (or, if your account has no password but two-factor sign-in is on, a current two-factor code) and tap Delete permanently. If you signed up with Google or Facebook without a password or two-factor sign-in, delete the account on the website as above.

On iOS

  1. Open the Helper Guard AI app and sign in.
  2. Tap the Profile tab → Delete Account.
  3. Confirm with your password, your two-factor code, or by signing in again with Google or Facebook.

If you have an active paid subscription, cancel it first on the Billing page.

Option 2: by email

If you can't sign in, email us from the address on your account at [email protected] with the subject "Account deletion request". We will verify you own the account and then delete it.

What is deleted

Permanently deleted: your account, conversations, uploaded files and images, generated images and videos, projects, tasks, notifications, Learning data (topic profile, interaction events, encrypted excerpts and embeddings), connected-account tokens (Gmail and social media) and sign-in sessions. They cannot be recovered.

At the same time we remove IP addresses and email addresses from security and audit records that were linked to your account (the records stay without any link to you), revoke the access you granted us to your Gmail, Google and social media accounts at those providers, and delete your Stripe customer record when you have no active subscription. We keep only what the law requires, such as payment records held by Stripe.

When you delete your account, the audit log keeps one entry saying that an account was deleted, identified only by a random pseudonymous ID that no longer points to any person, for the same 365 days (security and accountability).

Backups: copies of deleted data can remain in encrypted database backups for up to 30 days until they expire; they are used only to recover the whole service after a failure, and deletions are re-applied afterwards.

Before you delete: you can download a copy of your data as a ZIP of JSON files (ask us if you cannot find the option in your app).

If you signed in with Facebook

You can also remove Helper Guard AI from your Facebook account: Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites, choose Helper Guard AI and click Remove. This stops our access to your Facebook data; to delete your Helper Guard AI account completely, use one of the options above.
